Meeting & Event Host/Hostess

Currently, we are looking for a person to join our event department as a conference host/hostess.

The job will be based in our event arena Social which is a 2000 square meters flexible, multi-use space catering all types of events from day-time conferences  to cocktail mingles, seat-down dinners, fairs and concerts.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily running of the operation of the different meetings.

Work responsibilities

As a conference host-/hostess you are responsible for assuring the operation runs smoothly on a daily basis and that you are delivering exceptional high-end guest service experiences. The role includes building a strong relationship with other departments to ensure a flawless guest experience for all our guests from beginning to end. 

The main job tasks and responsibilites are:

  • Be well prepared and have good knowledge on today's and future bookings for the conference area
  • Prepare conference rooms and venues according to our routines
  • Ensure that event deliveries arrive on site and get shipped back
  • Welcome guests and respond to their questions regarding information about the hotel and its surroundings
  • Be updated on what conference groups we have in the house and what they work with
  • Handle smaller conference reservations
  • Manage the whole conference space in Social in regards to how the spaces look, mood setting (lights, music, atmosphere), cleaniness
  • Have good knowledge about our conference routines and service standards
  • Be well aware of the hotel's facilities to provide the best possible service to the guest
  • Ability to operate the hotel PMS system Cenium
  • Have good knowledge about the main goals within the department as well for the whole hotel

  • You have 2 years experience working in a similar position either in a luxury hotel or upscale event facility
  • Ambitious and interested in working in a high-pace environment with great standards
  • Out-going personality who has an easy way communicating with guests. Ability to charm and up-sell to guests.
  • Structured style of working and good organizational skills
  • Creative and dynamic mind-set 
  • Ability to work unsupervised and high professional ethics
  • Passionate about service and you have a genuine love for events 
  • Able to communicate verbally in Swedish and English

Working hours will vary depending on business demands and you will be required to work certain weekends and evenings.
